A pendant rests against the chest, over a shirt or under it, where you feel it through the day. Every design here carries a meaning from tradition: a Buddha for calm, a dragon for strength, jade for protection.

Two plants that only mean anything in winter.
The stone is cut as a length of bamboo, node and all, and a plum branch flowers up the side of it. Bamboo grows in sections, and each node is a 節, the same character used for a stage of your life. 節節高升 is the wish that goes with it: higher, one section at a time. Bamboo does not sprint. It sets a joint, hardens, then goes again, which is why it is the plant given to someone building something slowly.
White chalcedony is the right ground for both. It is the quiet, even stone of Chinese carving, no fire and no flash, the one chosen when the piece is supposed to look composed instead of expensive. Against it the red enamel reads twice as warm.
For anyone in the slow middle of something hard. A degree, a business in its second year, a recovery, a rebuild after a bad stretch. It is a better gift than it looks for the friend who has not had their win yet, because the whole pendant says the same thing: keep going through the cold part, and climb in stages.
It is small and it sits high, so it reads as an ordinary pretty necklace to everyone who does not know what the two plants are for.
Keep it away from perfume and hairspray, which dull a gold finish quicker than wear does, and take it off before swimming. A dry cloth if it clouds.

Every necklace lists its chain or cord length in the Specifications. As a guide, 45 cm sits on the collarbone and 60 cm on the upper chest. The Length Guide above the Add to cart button shows both.
When the Specifications say natural jadeite, jade, agate, chalcedony or obsidian, that is what it is. The exact material of every piece is named there, including the metal and any plating.
Close, but not identical. Natural stone differs in colour and marking from piece to piece, and hand carving varies a little too.
Yes. Stainless steel can be worn in water. Jade and other stone can stay on through the day, but take it off before sport or anything involving impact. Keep enamel and plated pieces away from water, perfume and abrasion.
