This shape is two and a half thousand years old, and you can date it by looking at it.
Warring States (戰國) dragons are distinctive. Coiled tight into an S, hornless, more serpent than beast, with the body worked in raised comma-shaped spirals. Archaeologists use exactly those features to date jade pendants from the period. It is one of the most recognisable forms in Chinese art and it looks nothing like the fierce whiskered dragons that came later.
The creature is a jiao (蛟), a water dragon without horns. Younger than the full dragon in the folk taxonomy, and tied to rivers and floods.
For anyone who would find a modern dragon a bit obvious. This is the version that predates all of them, and almost nobody wearing a dragon is wearing this one.

How long is it, and where will it sit?
Every necklace lists its chain or cord length in the Specifications. As a guide, 45 cm sits on the collarbone and 60 cm on the upper chest. The Length Guide above the Add to cart button shows both.
Is the stone real?
When the Specifications say natural jadeite, jade, agate, chalcedony or obsidian, that is what it is. The exact material of every piece is named there, including the metal and any plating.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Close, but not identical. Natural stone differs in colour and marking from piece to piece, and hand carving varies a little too.
Can I wear it every day?
Yes. Stainless steel can be worn in water. Jade and other stone can stay on through the day, but take it off before sport or anything involving impact. Keep enamel and plated pieces away from water, perfume and abrasion.
