Three green beads. That is the entire amount of colour on it.
The rest of the circle is black onyx, glossy and completely opaque. The malachite sits at the front between two antiqued brass rondelles with a raised dot border. Brass rather than silver, so it works with a gold watch and brown leather instead of fighting them. From a few feet away this reads as a plain black band. Up close it does not.
Onyx is the stone for holding it together. It is worn for steadiness and self-control, the kind you need across a long stretch rather than a bad afternoon: keeping your temper, keeping your mouth shut, keeping going. It is the least decorative stone there is, which is why it makes up the body of this one rather than the feature.
Malachite is its opposite, and that is the reason for putting the two together. It is the stone for the nerve to change something, worn when the problem is not that you cannot cope but that you have been coping for too long. Green and banded in rings like the growth lines in wood. Look at the three beads and one of them is noticeably paler and speckled where the other two are deep and striped. That is malachite behaving normally, not a fault. It grows in layers and gets cut wherever the layers happen to fall.
Steady almost all the way round, with a small amount of push at the front where you can see it.
For anyone who has been holding it together for a long stretch and has started to wonder whether they should be. It is a quiet bracelet, so it will not announce any of that.

Wearing & Care
Elastic, no clasp, so roll it on over the hand. Malachite is soft, roughly the hardness of a copper coin, and it dislikes heat, perfume, sweat and household cleaners. Take it off before a shower and wipe it with a dry cloth. The onyx is far tougher and will look after itself.

Are the bracelets handmade?
Yes. Every bracelet is handcrafted by our artisans. It is also why we can make one to fit you: leave your wrist measurement as a note in your cart and we will do our best.
How do I find my size?
Open the Size Guide above the Add to cart button. Wrap a piece of string around your wrist, lay it flat and measure it, then match the number to S, M, L or XL. Between two sizes, take the larger one.
Are the stones real?
Yes. Every bead is cut from genuine natural stone, never dyed glass or resin.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Close, but never identical. Natural stone varies in colour and banding from bead to bead, which is how you know it is real.
What if it does not fit?
