Peacocks eat snakes, including the venomous ones, and it does not appear to trouble them.
Buddhism made something of that. Mahamayuri, the Peacock Wisdom King, is shown riding one, and the teaching attached is the obvious reading of the bird's diet. The peacock takes in what would poison anything else and turns it into the most extravagant tail in the animal kingdom. Not avoidance. Conversion.
Which makes it a different proposition from the phoenix it gets confused with. The phoenix is about renewal after fire. The peacock is about what you do with what you have already swallowed.
For anyone carrying something they would rather have made use of than survived.
The bird sits at the top of a pale jade drop with its tail fanning down one side in fired enamel, green through orange, with small zircon set along the feathers. The stone is left completely plain so the tail has something quiet to lie against.
Fired enamel holds its colour indefinitely and chips on a hard knock, so give it its own corner of the bag. A dry cloth only. Natural stone, so the tone of the drop shifts piece to piece.
Bright enough that it reads as jewellery first to anybody who does not know the story.

Every necklace lists its chain or cord length in the Specifications. As a guide, 45 cm sits on the collarbone and 60 cm on the upper chest. The Length Guide above the Add to cart button shows both.
When the Specifications say natural jadeite, jade, agate, chalcedony or obsidian, that is what it is. The exact material of every piece is named there, including the metal and any plating.
Close, but not identical. Natural stone differs in colour and marking from piece to piece, and hand carving varies a little too.
Yes. Stainless steel can be worn in water. Jade and other stone can stay on through the day, but take it off before sport or anything involving impact. Keep enamel and plated pieces away from water, perfume and abrasion.
