A square stone on a round band. In Chinese that combination describes a kind of person.
外圓內方, round on the outside and square within. It is what you say about someone who is easy to deal with and impossible to move: pleasant in a meeting, accommodating about the small things, and completely unbudgeable on the one thing that actually matters to them. The round part is manners. The square part is the spine underneath. It has been a compliment for about two thousand years, and it is still the polite way to say that somebody cannot be pushed around.
The stone is green chalcedony in a pale celadon, the colour Chinese porcelain spent centuries chasing. It is quiet, slightly cloudy, and not trying to pass for emerald. Two small red stones sit at the corners as the only warm note on the whole ring.
For anyone who is done apologising for having a position. It suits someone starting a job where they will need to hold a line, or a person you admire for exactly that quality and have never said so. The band is open at the back and bends gently to fit, so treat it as one adjustable size and work it as little as you can. Chalcedony is hard enough for daily wear but the gold finish is not, so keep it away from hand cream and perfume and take it off before washing up.

What if it does not fit?
Send it back within 30 days. Open-band rings can also be adjusted by gently squeezing or widening the band.
Is it real silver?
Only when the listing says 925. Tibetan silver is a silver-coloured alloy, and we name the exact metal in the Specifications on every ring.
Will it tarnish or change colour?
Tibetan silver darkens gradually with wear, which most people prefer, and a soft cloth brightens it again. Stainless steel does not fade or tarnish.
Can I wear it in water?
Stainless steel rings are fine in water. Take off Tibetan silver, gold-toned and stone-set rings before washing up, swimming or using hand cream.
