Seven stones in a fixed order, red at one end and clear at the other. Rearranging them would be missing the point.
They run in the sequence assigned from the base of the spine to the crown: red jasper, a banded orange agate, tiger eye with the light moving in it, green aventurine, sodalite with its white veining, amethyst, and clear quartz at the top. Seven stones, one for each, and the order is the whole design.
Most of the bracelet is not the seven at all. Hematite runs the whole back of the loop and sits as a spacer between every coloured bead, and it is why the thing has real weight the moment you pick it up.
That stone is worth a word of its own. Scratch a hematite bead on unglazed porcelain and it draws a red line. Black, mirror-bright, and it leaves blood red every time, which is where the name came from: haima, the Greek word for blood, given to it long before anybody understood why. The answer is iron oxide, which is also rust, and it is the same compound that makes the entire surface of Mars the colour it is. You are wearing the mineral that a planet is named red for.
For anyone who wants the full seven and would rather it did not look like a friendship bracelet.

Wearing & Care
Hematite is hard but brittle at the edges, so it chips rather than scratches. Keep it clear of hard knocks. Stretch cords slacken over a year or two of daily wear and restringing is cheap.
Black for most of the way round, so it reads as a plain dark bracelet from the back of the wrist and as the full set from the front.

Are the bracelets handmade?
Yes. Every bracelet is handcrafted by our artisans. It is also why we can make one to fit you: leave your wrist measurement as a note in your cart and we will do our best.
How do I find my size?
Open the Size Guide above the Add to cart button. Wrap a piece of string around your wrist, lay it flat and measure it, then match the number to S, M, L or XL. Between two sizes, take the larger one.
Are the stones real?
Yes. Every bead is cut from genuine natural stone, never dyed glass or resin.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
Close, but never identical. Natural stone varies in colour and banding from bead to bead, which is how you know it is real.
What if it does not fit?
Send it back within 30 days of delivery.
